University of Tsukuba Hospital

This hospital houses Japan’s oldest proton beam therapy facility and conducts proton beam therapy as an advanced medical treatment. Since 1983, we have accumulated clinical research and started a full-scale treatment facility with a gantry in 2001. We are also the only proton therapy center affiliated with a university hospital in Japan. To date, we have treated more than 8,721 cases.
Additionally, we have established a treatment environment that can supply safe and minimally invasive surgical procedures, such as an operating room with ceiling-suspended intraoperative MRI, DaVinci surgical device, endoscopic surgical devices, and so on.

When accepting patents who are living overseas, a medical coordinating company, which has a business relationship with this hospital, performs all the necessary arrangements from your arrival in Japan to your return to your country. This includes assistance in obtaining a medical visa, air travel arrangements, and reservations of accommodations, arrangement of interpreter(s), etc..
